Drunk Proposal

We both were childhood buddies, and both of us had feelings for each other, but none of us had courage to express.

I didn’t knew, but Sam had decided to let me make aware of his feelings. One fine Sunday evening, we were at my place, having pizzas and watching old movies (our favorite pastime). But that day, on a different note, we intentionally got ourselves drunk. Movie was playing along, and a point came when hero expressed his love (I still remember the dialogues).

Now, to my surprise, suddenly Sam started repeating hero's dialogues. But, he had replaced the heroine's character name with my name. Initially, it appeared quite funny and I couldn't stopped laughing. So, I tried to correct him, that he is taking my name. But, he smiled and said he knew what he was saying.

I was silent and for a moment became completely blank. I felt absolutely speechless and didn't knew what to say. But, from bottom of my heart I knew that I also love him. Then he took out a round diamond engagement ring and proposed me. It was a big pleasant shock for me, but I was very happy at the same time. I went ahead with the flow and repeated the actress’ dialogue and said "Yes".

We are now happily married for 5 years, and I just love my round diamond engagement ring. Writing my proposal story today has brought back the memory of one of the most unforgettable moment of my life. Also, it has reminded that we have in long time not watched together any old classic, something to catch up this weekend :)
